Allison Pregler Talks Movie Nights
Tuesday Jun 16, 2020
Tuesday Jun 16, 2020
Though being a cord-cutter is a liberating experience, it does also leave one with limited options for on-demand entertainment if your tastes are a bit more obscure. Thus, we brave souls who have been released from the shackles of corporate television wandered forth into the unknown. On this quest, it became apparent that stream content would be the future. While browsing the magical landscape of YouTube, I came across a channel called ‘Movie Nights.’ The videos, typically narrated on screen and off by Allison Pregler, consisted of a jawdropping amount of nostalgia that was both wonderfully cheesy and pleasurably cringy. There was no shortage of the sparkling teeth and curls known as David Hasselhoff, and the stoic quantum catapulting of Scott Bakula. Yes, the woman who is also known as Obscurus Lupa managed to take me back to that time when my family was at the mercy of my dad’s remote control. A price cannot be put on that nostalgia. Well, technically a monetary value can be assigned, so head on over to her Patreon after checking out our interview with Miss Pregler here.

Leading up to the momentous occasion, I once again sat down with maestro Massari to discuss the trails, tribulations, and rewarding moments on this road to a ‘Killer Klowns’ orchestral outing.

How difficult is it to make a name for yourself in Hollywood? Very. I’ve tried it. Rejection after an audition you feel you nailed is one of the toughest things to deal with. Well, that is after the cost of living, earthquakes, and traffic. Unlike myself, however, there are those people who continue to grind away hoping to strike oil one day. That is the topic of Victoria Vertuga‘s micro-series Disgraced.
We talked about the ups and downs of casting and what it’s like when you’re on the other side of the lens in our exclusive interview.

Thursday Apr 16, 2020
Thursday Apr 16, 2020
What better way to spend your quarantine than by binging endless hours of entertainment based on Stephen King's works. From Salem's Lot to 11/22/63, the adaptation's of King's works have had their ups, downs, and unintentionally hilarious moments on television. Some have gone on to be staples in pop culture, while others have fallen by the wayside for one reason or another.
To tackle the task of narrowing down the Top 5 TV versions of King's bibliography, I reached out to some people who've spent their fair share of time with these things. We tapped Brad and Doug Walker from Channel Awesome and Stoned Gremlin Productions' Brad Jones. These guys are no strangers to the oddities that were brought forth when directors tried making physical manifestations of the legendary author's disturbing fiction. Which will make the list? The Shining? The Stand? That version of IT no one ever talks about? Find out in our podcast below!

Felissa Rose is a cult horror icon who has embraced the welcoming nature of the genre community. In turn, she has given us great performances in a number of indie films over the decades. Now it's our turn to gush! The iconic star of Sleepaway Camp sat down with us to talk about her upcoming films, including a sequel to the long-running Jennifer series. Felissa also talked about her upcoming projects, her turn as a producer, and romance. Synopsis: After a surprise horror themed birthday party, Jennifer gets a scare that leads to an accident. Jennifer is a horror blogger and huge horror movie fan. Her friends, to cheer her up after the accident, decide they could make a movie. They collect their gopro cameras and phones and begin to shoot. Soon, the discoveries of other low budget horror films similar to theirs begin to intersect with their own movie. This sends Jennifer on a journey to understand where these other "Jennifer" films came from. The journey leads to a discovery about the films she could never have imagined, and she realizes her participation has put her life, and the lives of her friends, in real danger.
